Sebastian Vettel (German pronunciation) born 3 July 1987) is a German Blueprint One racing driver, presently driving for Red Bull Rushing. He is the existing World Champion, having gained the championship in 2010 and 2011.
Vettel was blessed in Heppenheim, West Germany. He has one younger brother, Fabian, and two elderly sisters, Melanie and Stefanie.
Vettel commenced racing karts in 1995, winning diverse titles such as the Junior Monaco Kart Cup in 2001. In 2003, he enhanced to open-wheel cars and won the 2004 German Formula BMW Championship with 18 victories from 20 races. In 2005 he drove for ASL Mucke Motorsport in the Formula Three Euroseries.
Vettel became BMW Sauber third driver at the 2006 Turkish Grand Prix,
Vettel was confirmed as BMW's test driver for 2007.
On 31 July 2007, BMW released Vettel to join Red Bull's Scuderia Toro Rosso team, swapping Scott Swiftness as one of its individuals from the Hungarian Grand Prix forward.
After four competitions of the 2008 season, Vettel was the only driver to have failed to finish a single race, having retired on the first lap in three of them.
At the start of the 2009 season, Vettel substituted the outdated David Coulthard at Red Bull Racing, and began passionately at the Australian Grand Prix.
Vettel persisted with Red Bull for 2010, and had taken the first pole situation of the period at the Bahrain Grand Prix.
After the postponement of the Bahrain Grand Prix, Vettel commenced his concept protection in style in the Australian Grand Prix with pole posture and a victory of 22 seconds through title rival Lewis Hamilton, who was nursing home his broken McLaren.
Vettel stayed at Red Bull for the 2012 season, and is again connected by Mark Webber. He obtained a second place finish at the opening race of the season in Australia.
